RENDERCAD is useful when that working view needs to become a more persuasive visual for a styling review, design proposal, CMF discussion, or early marketing concept. Start with a view that clearly shows the intended form and a representative material assignment, rather than a technical analysis view. The resulting image can help communicate a chosen design direction without requiring every stakeholder to open the Alias model. It does not replace Alias for curve and surface quality decisions: continuity, reflection analysis, tolerances, and the editable design data remain the source of truth in the CAD workflow.
In Autodesk Alias, frame a shaded or VRED-rendered viewport around the design question: a three-quarter vehicle view for proportion, a side view for profile, or a close-up for a trim, lamp, or surface transition. Use an angle with readable reflections and material areas, then hide CVs, construction curves, diagnostic shading, selection highlights, and other review-only overlays.
