In CATIA, first prepare the view that answers one design question. For a surfaced product, use a three-quarter angle that reveals the silhouette, highlight flow, part breaks, and color split. For an assembly or interior, show the interfaces, scale cues, and the components being discussed; a section view can help when the mechanism is the subject. Hide selections, construction elements, trees, and transient annotations, then capture the viewport at a useful size with the object clearly separated from the background. Upload that image to RENDERCAD and specify a practical direction, such as a neutral studio image for a design review, a restrained lifestyle setting for a concept board, or an explanatory material and lighting treatment for a packaging alternative. Common solutions for CATIA users

The screenshot workflow uses image inputs, presets, and plain-language direction. Teams should still review generated output with the appropriate designer or product owner.

Use a condition preset or regional instruction to explore dust, scratches, or age. Generated wear patterns do not predict real product use.

A supported browser can submit a clear 2D input without a local rendering GPU.

The current desktop app or browser extension can capture a selected view and send the screenshot into RENDERCAD without a CAD rendering plugin.

A photo of an actual sample or color chip can guide the palette. Verify final color in a color-managed workflow rather than treating generated output as a color match.

Masking lets you target a region of a CAD screenshot, real photo, or hand drawing with a reference image or instruction. Generation can still affect other regions, so inspect the full result.

Set up masks for each customizable component. Swap material references for each masked region to quickly visualize different product configurations.

Capture a clear view, select the Realistic engine, choose the Factory New condition, and describe brushed aluminum. A material reference can guide grain direction, but review the generated surface against the source design.
