In OpenBuildings Designer, start from a saved 3D view or compose one around the decision the audience must make. Isolate the relevant architectural elements, coordinated building systems, and only the reality-model or site context that supports scale and orientation. For an exterior, keep the entry, adjacent ground plane, and key facade volumes visible; for an interior or concourse, retain circulation, daylight openings, and principal surfaces. Hide grids, annotations, temporary geometry, and unrelated disciplines that make the image read like a coordination screen. Capture a clean viewport at the intended review angle, then use RENDERCAD to test lighting, material mood, landscape character, and atmosphere while preserving the underlying composition. Use the resulting visuals alongside the original OpenBuildings view when presenting an option, especially for building services or public circulation spaces. Common solutions for Bentley OpenBuildings users

A supported browser can submit a clear 2D input without a local rendering GPU.

The current desktop app or browser extension can capture a selected view and send the screenshot into RENDERCAD without a CAD rendering plugin.

With the Realistic engine selected, use Add Instruction to attach an authorized material image and describe how it should guide the render. The reference guides the generated image; it does not modify the native Bentley OpenBuildings model or guarantee a material match.

Image references and masks are applied during the initial image render. Once you have your styled image, use the Image-to-Video feature to animate it with camera movements.

Set up masks for each customizable component. Swap material references for each masked region to quickly visualize different product configurations.

Describe the intended anodized color and matte or satin finish, then review the generated metal appearance against an authorized material reference when color and finish matter.

Upload a clear image, choose the Realistic engine, and describe a large soft light source or overcast lighting. Generated shadows are visual approximations, not a physical lighting calculation.

Start from an image that clearly shows the existing separated components, then choose the Exploded View product motion. Review the clip against the source because generated motion can alter part boundaries or relationships.

No local NVIDIA rendering GPU is required. Use a supported browser to upload an image or a current capture tool to select a screenshot; generation runs on cloud infrastructure.

The Render History page lets you browse and download retained images and videos. Storage duration depends on the account plan, so download assets you need before they expire.
