Autodesk Platform Services Viewer SDK for embedding 2D and 3D design model viewing in web apps

  • AI render enhancement for Forge Viewer and APS Viewer viewports.
  • Zero Footprint: We don't install inside Forge Viewer. We overlay it.
  • External Compute: Your GPU draws lines. Ours calculates light.
  • Batch Processing: Serial rendering is for amateurs. Do it all at once.

When to use RENDERCAD with Forge Viewer

Forge Viewer teams often use an embedded browser viewport to review BIM, product, plant, or infrastructure models with section cuts, isolated objects, exploded assemblies, markup, and measurements. RENDERCAD fits after that interactive review state is composed: capture the clean viewer angle and turn it into a polished still image for client updates, design option decks, app previews, product pages, or internal approvals without rebuilding the scene in a separate renderer.

Capture.
Render.
Done.

In Forge Viewer, load the viewable model, choose the camera, saved view, section cut, object visibility, or exploded state that best explains the design, then hide interface clutter before taking a viewport capture. Upload the image to RENDERCAD to create a presentation-ready render with clearer lighting, material readability, and visual context. For product teams that want to connect this capture step inside their own web app, route current API implementation details through /developers.

Questions & Answers

Common solutions for Forge Viewer users

Yes, use the "Details" field in the video tab to describe elements like "Steam rising" or "Lights flickering."

Select "4K" in the RENDERCAD Resolution settings. Our engine upscales and details your CAD screenshot, real photo, or hand drawing into a high-res marketing image in 10-60 seconds.

Go to Render History, find the image, click it, and select "Re-render" to try new prompts.

Prompt "Stainless steel case," "Leather strap," and "Macro photography."

RENDERCAD is standalone. You don't need a Forge Viewer rendering license - just the ability to view your model on screen.

It is a "Zero Footprint" solution. All processing happens on our cloud GPUs, so your laptop fan won't even spin up while generating 4K images.

Since RENDERCAD is also browser-accessible, it fits perfectly into a fully cloud-based workflow without requiring local software installation.

AI excels at organic curves. It smooths out polygon edges in the render, making even lower-poly models look like smooth, manufactured parts.

It removes the guesswork of tweaking numbers. You get a good result immediately, rather than waiting 20 minutes to see if a setting was wrong.

It allows you to direct the "acting" of the video - adding steam, movement, or atmosphere that isn't present in the static CAD model.

For unique materials like custom fabrics, exotic woods, or proprietary finishes, simply photograph the real material and use it as a reference - no material library needed.

Select your product with a mask, then invert it to select everything except the product. This makes background-only changes quick and precise.
